Our Environmental Policy

We recognise that our day to day operations impact on the environment in a number of ways and we wish to minimise the potentially harmful effects of our business activity whenever and wherever possible.  As a result, we are committed to continually improving our environmental performance and to the prevention of pollution.  We regard current UK Environmental Regulations, Laws and Codes of Practice as setting the minimum standards of environmental performance.

In order to pursue our desire to minimise the environmental damage produced as a result of our business activity, we have developed a series of policy statements which will enable us to set targets by which our efforts towards being an environmentally sustainable company can be measured and monitored on a regular basis.

• Appoint an environmental officer for each of our offices, who will have responsibility for implementing our policies in that office.
• Work towards minimizing our energy use by investing in energy efficient products, and switching of all electrical equipment when not in use.
• Seek to address the impact of our business on the environment by adopting a sustainable procurement policy.  In particular, wherever possible, recycled paper will be used, toner cartridges will be refilled, and reconditioned or used office equipment will be purchased.
• Work to minimise waste produced in the course of our business activities, recycle materials wherever possible, re-use materials wherever possible, and dispose of all remaining waste in a safe and responsible manner.  To minimise the amount of paper used, documents will be obtained, distributed and stored in electronic format wherever possible.
• Minimize fuel consumption and reduce exhaust emissions by encouraging telephone conferences rather than face to face meetings, and travelling by public transport wherever possible.
• Implement our policies by fully explaining them to our staff.
•  Conduct an annual self evaluation of our performance in implementing these policies.
